Ingredients
- Prestomarmellata, 1 bag
- figs, 1 kg
- sugar, 500 g
Method
Wash the figs without peeling them, cut them into small pieces, and place them in a high-sided saucepan. Add the jam setting agent previously mixed with the sugar.
Place the saucepan over high heat, bring to a boil while stirring continuously, and boil for 3 minutes.
Remove from the heat and continue stirring for a few more minutes so the foam formed during boiling dissolves.
Pour the boiling jam into preheated jars, seal them tightly, and turn them upside down for about 8 minutes.
You can serve fig jam to fill a tart or alongside desserts made with cheese and honey, or as a savoury snack with bread, aged cheeses, or cured meats.
